Water-soluble Ceramide : Japanese rice-derived Glucosyl ceramide

The stratum corneum is the outermost layer of the skin and serves as a barrier that protects the body from foreign substances such as bacteria and allergens and at the same time prevents the loss of moisture from the skin. Ceramide is a substance that plays an important role in the barrier function of the stratum corneum. When ceramide in the stratum corneum decreases, skin moisture decreases and the barrier function is impaired.

The PHYTOCERA series contains glucosylceramide, a vegetable ceramide derived from Japanese rice, which is a ceramide with one sugar bound to it.
