Dental biofilms are formed by oral bacteria on the surface of teeth and consist dental plaque.
A large number of diverse oral bacterial groups grow in dental plaques. There are more than 100 million bacteria in 1 mg of plaque.
Bacteria present in dental biofilm produce diverse unbeneficial bacterial metabolites. While dental plaque contains acids,
inflammatory and malodorous substances, they directly cause oral problems such as caries, gingival inflammation, bad breath and tooth discoloration.

MILLTECT has a weak effect on mature biofilms because the components do not penetrate them. However,
since the entire oral cavity is not covered with biofilm, biofilm prevention is effective in almost every condition.
It is no problem because when they are used at the recommended concentration, the number of molecules of the antibiotic is greater than active ingredient in MILLTECT.
Our experiments also suggest there is no decrease in antibacterial activity due to combined use.
Following antibacterial agents also exhibited very strong synergies with MILLTECT.

- a fat-soluble antibacterial agent, isopropylmethylphenol (IPMP)
As a natural ingredient, MILLTECT alone does not have antibacterial activity, so it is preferable to use it in combination with SHAKUYAKU Liquid B or OTOGIRISOU Liquid B, which have antibacterial activity.
