Natural Cosmetic Ingredient HyaluGuard​

There are mainly 2 types of HYALs – HYAL1 and HYAL2. Recent report suggests that HYAL1 is not present in dermis. HYAL2 is expressed but it has almost no or very negligible activity. Studies also reveal that not the HYAL, but HYBID is the key to the degradation of HA in dermis.

HA integrates to other ECM components such as collagen, elastin, and proteoglycan etc. to make a network. It is not possible for small HA to interact properly with those components to form a complete structural network, ultimately leading to the degradation of the matrix. Moreover, small HA has less water binding capacity than large HA. Furthermore, it is reported that small HA is angiogenic and inflammatory, whereas large HA is non-angiogenic and anti-inflammatory.

Histamine is largely released by mast cells. It is reported that the number of mast cells in human dermis
increases with aging. Therefore, it is highly plausible that histamine increases with natural aging.

HA is known to play an important role in promoting hair growth and alleviating hair loss. As HyaluGuard protects HA from degradation, it is possible that HyaluGuard might maintain hair growth as well (by protecting HA), although we don't have any experimental evidence to support the claim.
