Proteoglycans are essential components of ECM(Extracellular Matrix) in dermis. Structure of Proteoglycans is that Glycoprotein in which sugar chains called glycosaminoglycans (GAG) are covalently bonded to the core protein. Roles of Proteoglycans is storing lots of water, keeping skin moisture and elasticity and activating cell growth and differentiation.
Animal-derived proteoglycan has been used for cosmetic market. Therefore, some customers who are sensitive to ingredients derived from animals cannot use Proteoglycan. We have developed Proteoglycan derived from ghatti tree and now we are able to suggest proteoglycan to all customers.
